Role Requirements:
Supportive residential environment for those with Autism, Developmental Delays, Mental Health or behavioral issues.
Responsible for engaging those in the residential program as well as some day treatment programing
Duties will include daily routines, recreation, behavioral management, and presenting life skills education.
Daily supervision of residents.
Maintaining routine within the residences and doing household chores including cleaning, general maintenance, and keeping the staff workspace clean.
Ensuring clients are following prescribed medication routines (i.e. witnessing the client taking their medications, documenting where applicable).
Complete daily logs, incident reports, medication charts and other legal documents. MUST have a solid command of the English language and the ability to effectively articulate and document is mandatory.
Comply with all policies and procedures as established by the agency / Ministry.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to driving agency vehicles, attending appointments with clients, completing household chores, adhering to Health and Safety standards.
Must be a graduate from a recognized College with or University equivalent (In Developmental Support Services or equivalent)
Level 1 First Aid / CPR Certificate.
Must have valid crisis training: CPI, Safe Management or U.M.A.B. Understanding & Managing Aggressive Behaviour
Working with Autism, Mental Health Behavioral, and Developmentally Delayed clients in a Group Home Setting
Need to have or willing to get a Vulnerable Person Sector Criminal reference search.
Must have ASD experience working with clients utilizing crisis prevention and therapeutic approaches.
Support client(s) in personal and developmental, hygiene and overall care of clients progress and routines.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and facilitate a before and after school program for students 3.8 – 12 years of age in their school.
• Create warm, welcoming environments and ensure the safety of students enrolled in the program through direct supervision, attendance protocols, and age-appropriate programming.
• Support Teachers in programming needs.
• Working professionally with caregivers, school personnel, outside agencies, and other team members
• Proactively developing relationships with children, peers within the program.
• Assist with children’s meals and snacks including set up and clean up.
Qualifications:
• Early Childhood Education Diploma or Child and Youth Worker Diploma or Early Childhood Assistant Diploma Experience working with children in preschool to grade 4 preferred.
• Registration with the college of Early Childhood educators

Instructor Therapist:
Job Summary:
The Instructor Therapist will be responsible for providing services and supports to children and youth with autism and their families under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Duties & Responsibilities:
teaching appropriate behaviors and reducing challenging behaviors
-teaching communication and social skills, play skills, and life skills.
Create teaching materials to support programming. Collect and monitor data.
-Connect with parents on participants needs and plan of care
-Conduct behavior or curriculum assessments.
-Monitor and track progress by keeping detailed daily records and information on the child’s challenging behavior
- skill acquisition, and other aspects of the planned interventions.
- Maintain the clinical binder for each client not limited to, preparing datasheets, daily graphing, and adjusting programming based on the set revision and mastery criterion. Participate in agency initiatives to further enhance our supports and services.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Autism and Behavior Science, Behavioral Psychology, or a related field.
College diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Worker and Developmental Service Worker may be considered.
Candidates that are currently enrolled in a diploma or degree program may be considered.
1-year’s experience in delivering ABA-based programming an asset.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) an asset.
Ability to work as a member of a team.
Knowledge concerning cultural diversity and proficiency in other languages will be considered assets for this position.
